Take a camera, or three!
Beyond the Desk is a video series featuring LKQ’s Global SVP of HR, Genevieve Dombrowski, in conversation with executive leaders from across the organization. The series was designed to help team members around the world connect with leaders on a more personal level—both professionally and beyond the desk. For this project, I created the playful intro animation inspired by Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update, identified and secured the best on-site filming location at our North American Headquarters, and partnered with Marketing to coordinate a three-camera shoot. I then handed the project off to one of our designers to complete the final edit.
This talking-head video features LKQ’s former COO, now President and CEO, and showcases my experience partnering closely with executive leaders. I edited and refined green-screen footage to ensure a polished, professional final product suitable for a global audience. The lower third was intentionally positioned in the top left corner to accommodate subtitles in more than 15 languages, ensuring clarity and accessibility.
I used music, color, pace, and intentional sound clips to guide the viewer through this story. I was discrete and unapologetic with my two Black Magic Pocket cameras.
This was one of my favorite highlights to shoot and edit because I was encouraged to create without limits. I captured this beautiful footage with a Black Magic Pocket Camera, edited it in Adobe Premiere, and added a clean intro with After Effects.
This is the first highlight video I shot and produced — three cameras, one passionate woman, and no boundaries. Fun, high-energy, and driven by music!
